This week at the Orton Group offices, we have even more reason to celebrate our achievements after being shortlisted in not just one, but two categories at the prestigious Electrical Industry Awards.

Jordan Yates, one of our fantastic apprentices, has been nominated and shortlisted in the Apprentice of the Year category – with the judges recognising his dedication to continuous learning, positive attitude and ethic, and commitment to best practice. So a huge well done to Jordan!

And, if that wasn’t enough, we’ve made it through to the coveted Contractor of the Year category, where we’ve been selected as one of the final four.

Andrew Lowe, Managing Director of Orton Group, commented: “These shortlists are a huge testament to the phenomenal success the entire Orton Group has enjoyed across all divisions over the past 12 months in particular, and I’m delighted that we’ve been recognised in this way.”

The judges acknowledged our growth across the social housing sector and specifically as a result of its acquisition of a part of npower’s Social Housing division last year, following the energy giant’s decision to exit the sector.

In addition, our ability to overcome challenges and provide solutions to a range of projects also played a part in us making the cut, as did our charity work where we raised £25,000 for various causes as part of our 25^th anniversary celebrations.

We’re so excited about attending the awards ceremony in October and in getting to celebrate our achievements, whether we pick up the awards or not, as a team. Wish us luck!
